Here is the digest Bill was referencing.  The "Important Note" is the last portion of the gatewayed message.  Everything beyond that is some type of tag-line/footer. Bill, this is the first digest I'd seen that on (but have seen it on the subsequent ones) but there's a possibility I hadn't scrolled to the bottom...  I agree - that is a ridiculous amount of garbage with one short message.  It would not surprise me in the least if TGN has added that to all digests, but Pendleton is the only mailing list I subscribe in digest format.  If that is the case, Nedra cannot do anything about it because list admins can add a header to digests but not a footer.
