I found the information regarding the boundaries very helpful to all Pendleton County researchers, and especially because it names so many residents to pinpoint the exact location of the new boundary. And, the mention of the dwelling house of Samuel Day proves that he lived there several years prior to his 1796 land grant. Perhaps the deed and land grant records of Hardy County or even Hampshire should be pursued for land acquired by Samuel Day prior to 1789.
