U. B. Church Thursday, November 29, 1951, for Wilbur Carr, age 74 years, a well known resident of the Maysville section, who passed away at his home Monday, November 26, 1951. Services will be in charge of Rev. Lowell Rogers, of Burlington, assisted by Rev. D. A. Frazier, pastor of the South Branch Circuit. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery on the hill. Mr. Carr was a son of the late Adam and Melinda (Boggs) Carr. He was a resident of the Maysville community for a long number of years. The deceased was preceded in death by his wife, the former Miss. Charlotte (Keplinger) Carr, who passed away eight years ago. Survivors include children; Miss. Dessie Carr and Mrs. Dorothy Rohrbaugh, at home, Miss. Mary Carr, of Hagerstown, Md., Mrs. Nellie Baur, Keyser, Adam Carr, of Elk Garden, Eston Carr, of Maysville, Lester Carr and Carnie Carr, of Mt. Storm. P. E. Thrush and Son had charge of funeral arrangements. Notice this obituary has Wilbur Carr's mother's name as Melinda (Boggs, was this a mistake in the newspaper?
