    3. There was some speculation that Thomas Collett came from New Jersey, as did Peter Veneman his neighbor. Notice that Samuel McCollick (McCulloch) lived there before coming to Hardy Co. Va. Also, the name Inskeep is a name from Hardy Co. Va.,too. The same spelling of McCollick appears in Thomas Collet/McCollick/Collick's name. B.L. As before stated, the public business of the County was jointly conducted by the Justices of the Peace of the County and the Board of Chosen Freeholders.     3. Just noticed this thread. I can't really participate, but the idea that some of the Hardy residents came from NJ...not new and not crazy. Some of them did for certain. Go figure. Some went via PA...check along the Delaware River.
