It may take a few days. Most have no indication of who made the map nor any copyright date. It's fairly obvious from the names of many of the parcel owners that the maps are either very old or reconstruction of old grants - not plots of contemporary owners (contemporary in the sense of owners in the last century or so.) North Fork Map 7A & 7B The eastern boundaries of one Robt McCullough's large parcels is the westernmost parcel. There's no easy way to list the remaining parcels in specific order so these are just the names in random order - as spelled on the map - moving more or less to the east as I read down and back up the map: George Nagley 100a Pete Shall 202a Joseph and Benj. Chambers 22,750a (small portion only) Levi Hollingsworth 8,890a John Hopkins Jr 77a John Bible 1010a John Haigler 680a J. Graham 50?a Lenerd Bush 5a Cyrus Hopkins 130a Lenerd Bush 44a Cyrus Hopkins 73?a John & Cyrus Hopkins 227a M. Bush 60a Lewis Bush 22 a Cyrus Hopkins 100a Cyrus Hopkins 25a M Bush 23a J Briggs 65a I & B Graham 318a Solomon Harper 27a Levi Hollingsworth 4230a John Skidmore 375a (small portion only) Eve Hedrick 880a (small portion only) Lewis Price 210a Adam Coil 215a A. Moser 125a John Cunningham 13?a Andrew W Dyer 1390a Moses Hinkle acreage unclear but the outline is of his 100a parcel A couple of waterways are marked as they enter properties but no real attempt was made to show landmarks. Indicated on the map to the far West is the North Fork but it is only pencilled in and probably not particularly accurate. Not indicated on the map is the South Branch which is known to pass through Dyer's 1390a. The map appears to be a wide swath between the two river branches north of Franklin up to and including Germany Valley in the west and roughly ending a little north of where Reed's Creek empties into the South Branch on the east side of the map. Although labelled North Fork, the map is most inclusive of the Reed's Creek area and has only a few (albeit a couple of those quite large) grants that would be considered to be on the North Fork. The majority of these grants were from the late 1700's and into the early 1800's although Dyer's large grant was not incorporated until 1860. The map certainly would have been drawn after that but there are obviously a large number of missing smaller grants in that case. Surveyors were generally well-educated. The spelling of Lenerd (for Leonard) and the use of Pete instead of Peter as on the grant gives one pause when trying to think who might have drawn the map and the obvious omissions of so many smaller grants begs the question of what the precise purpose of the exercise might have been.
