I believe I may have found a good starting point in my search. Hattie was listed as the daughter of Pleasant Harper (Ida Harper's brother) in a 1920s census. Also, my father's paternal grandfather was definitely named Guy Hedrick. My father's dad was named Harmie. Still no clue why or when my grandmother was adopted by the Harpers, or who her birth parents are. Any further information is very much appreciated.
