Eve Spiggle did have brothers and sisters.  Some of them ended up in Shenandoah Co, Va.  One of her brothers married into the Snapp family and I know she had a sister named Sarah Spiggle.  I have the info on her family somewhere, and could try and find it if anyone wants it.  I am a descendant of Daniel Maus and Eve through their daughter Phebe who married Johannes Hotom II  (John Hodam). 3. Sherry - thank you. It seems likely that Adam Carr was the son of Catharine Mouse Carr and the reason he's listed as an heir. It was unusual for a single woman to travel to marry (particularly the first time) and it was even a legal requirement at a later date that she obtain the license to marry in her home county (although she could use the license in another county if she so wished) - which is why I asked whether there were relatives in the congregation or whether she may have been previously married. There was, at least, one family named Wolf in the northern portion of Pendleton Co and southern portion of Hardy Co and evidence of a marriage circa this same time. Wolf is not an uncommon surname among the Germans though but perhaps there was some connection. I'm curious about any relationship between the Maus aka Mouse family and the Mallows before Michael Mallow's death in 1772. One of the Maus brothers was documented by Annette Burgert as having lived, for at least a short time, in a village in Alsace only a few miles from where Michael Mallo was born and raised. Then Mallow was the first administrator for the probate of George Mouse who was massacred at Ft. Seybert in 1758 (along with his wife and three of his six children.) - Sandra Keltner ----- Original Message ----- From: Sherry Sowards<mailto:sherrysowardswvrn@yahoo.com> To: WVPENDLE-L@rootsweb.com<mailto:WVPENDLE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, August 13, 2009 6:13 PM Subject: [WVPENDLE] Maus/Mouse I am also a Hodam/Mouse researcher.
