It is really both. We are a group, but because we are all over the US we keep in touch mainly by e-mail. We try to get together a few times a year, the Maple Festival in Highland and Treasure Mtn Festival in Pendleton and a reunion picnic in Rockingham. If you are interested, I add your name to the mailing list, send out an e-mail introducing you and what families you are interested in and see if anybody else in the group connects with you. Also, most members send me their birthdays and I send out an e-mail at that time, which reminds people yearly what families you are researching and maybe you can get a new lead then.
