Hi Van Kirks! In investigating my G grandfather, Pinkney Dahmer, I believe his father to be George H. Dahmer, son of Martin Dahmer, son of John George Dahmer. I'm not exactly sure if this is correct yet, as I have some more research to do, and some of the dates I've found don't jive with the census data. But, more than likely, we are related. In an additional twist, my grandfather, Daniel Ezra Hevener, had a sister, Mary Susan, who married into the Dahmer family......so it looks like I'm related (through marriage, at least) to the Dahmers on both sides of my mother's family.
