Diane, I really didn't know my great-aunt Ethel Hill but I know her daughter is still alive. I'll attempt to see if I can get her name but I'm concentrating on finding those Shreve's. Again, I have a copy of the document for Daniel Young Shreve for application for pension from the Civil War in which he described himself as having dark hair and eyes and in addition he described himself as dark skinned. With the rumors I've always heard, I can only think this somewhat enhances the idea of the blood being in there somewhere. What I found interesting is that Lucinda Weese was not on my records originally - she seemed hard to find. I don't know but right now I think either she is the link or Daniel had more than one wife. Only a guess. I think I need to get more info on Lucinda. Expecting to hear more about the Shreve link, and thanks...... Larry James Shreve
