She was then age 68 according to the census. Children of Adam and Mary JUDY: i. Poss Elizabeth JUDY? ii. Prob Mahala JUDY b ? - d before 1850 - m 24 Jan 1839 to Robert R. JOHNSON - Robert b ? - d after 1860. NOTE: Am 99% sure that Mahala was a d/o of Adam and Mary. In the 1850 Pendleton Co Census (#270) show the following household: Adam JUDY 62 VA Farmer Mary JUDY 44 VA Susan C JUDY 9 VA (my GGGM) Rebecca E. JOHNSON 9 VA Adam J. JOHNSON 6 VA Charles W. JOHNSON 3 VA The 1860 Pendleton Co Census shows Rebecca JOHNSON (18), Adam JOHNSON (16) and Charles JOHNSON (13) living with Robert L. JOHNSON. NOTE: I believe that above shows that Adam and Mary JUDY were caring for their 3 "Grandchildren" in 1850 (as their daughter Mahala has died) and that the children were back living with their father in 1860. iii. Susan Catherine JUDY b 23 Jul 1841 Pendleton Co, VAWVA - d 5 Apr 1934 Washington Court House, Fayette Co, OH, of a fractured hip - buried Sect 3 Lot 39, Washington Cemetery, Washington Court House, Fayette Co, OH - m 7 Sep 1858 Pendleton Co, VA, to George Williams SLUSHER, s/o Alfred SLUSHER and Nancy Ann SKIDMORE - occ: carpenter - George b 2 Jul 1838 Moorefield, Hardy Co, VA/WVA - d 15 Nov 1908 Prob in area of Clinton Co, OH, - George buried IIOF Cemeter, Rte 28, Blancehester, Clinton Co, OH. Note: Adam and Mary Kimble were married over 20 years to the time of Susan's birth. This strongly indicates the probable existence of older siblings who we emancipated, or in the case of Mahala, died before the 1850 Census. Note: Furth proof that Susan was the daughter of Adam JUDY and Mary KIMBLE is a 1882 Beers article " History of Clinton County, Ohio" that has an article on the family which begins as follows: "George W. Slusher, farmer, P.O. Blanchester, son of Alfred and Nancy (Skidmore) Slusher, was born in Hardy County, VA, July 2, 1838. When e was quite young he learned the carpenter trade with is father, at which he has worked nearly all of his life. He was married in Pendleton County, V., September 7, 1858, to Susan, daughter of Adam and Mary (Kimble) Judy, born in Pendleton County, July 23, 1841 ....... etc".
