    3. Going by this information, would the Leonard Sr. be the Leonard who married Mary A. ? If so then his children were Leonard, Henry, William, George and Elizabeth. Again, if this is the right Leonard, he arrived on the Ship "Janet" in Philadelphia on Oct. 7, 1751. As I have mentioned in other e-mails, I received this information from the "Journal of The Allegheny Regional Ancestors, Volume 4, Issue 3, Simmons" This information can be seen at http://www.swcp/~dhickman/notes/simon.html This is just my question, not fact, but if this is the same Leonard Sr, he would be the one listed as coming to Augusta County, VA in 1753 with Nicholas Simon. Could the Nicholas Simon be his father? And could he be the Johann Nicholas Simon who married Anna Margaretha? (Not Marie Margaretha). If these questions could be answered, and if they are correct this would prove that our Simmons line came from Germany. I do know that my Leonard Simmons (m. Mary Vandale) was known to speak German often. (noted from my family bible) Remember, these are just questions, I am not one to just suppose these are my ancestors, I need proof. I just thought it would be interesting to see what others thought, or if you guys could prove any of this right or wrong. Leslie Ray
