I have been trying to find out for five years who were the parents of my great-grandfather, James Buchannan Lambert. I have him as having been born in Pendleton County in 1857 and having died in 1948 when he lived at Green Bank in Pocahontas County. He was married to Phoebe Zickafoose, 13 Nov. 1862-4 Dec. 1939. have her parents listed as Sampson and Sarah Simmons Zickafoose. I have less information on this line than any in my family tree because I'm having trouble getting past my great-grandfather. Their children included my grandfather, Welle Leston Lambert; Sarah (Lambert) Casssell; a daughter named Aldine; and Eva (Lambert) Crigler, who lived her adult life in Franklin, WV.
