Have you requested his death certificate from Vital Records in Charleston, WV? 2. Have you checked the estate settlement of Elias and Angeline Lambert? Or deeds? James B., aged 12, appears in their household in 1870 (Circleville Dist., #49), but the order of persons listed in the household would imply that he was not their son. He is not shown with them in the transcribed version of the 1860 Pend. Co. census (Dwelling #899) but I would certainly check the microfilm of the original to be sure that the household was transcribed correctly. 3. 1880 Pend. Co. census (Circleville Dist., p. 23) James B. aged 22, still residing with Elias and Angeline where he is shown as a nephew of Elias Lambert. Have you researched all the siblings of Elias? Do not overlook his sisters with James B. carrying his mother's maiden name. 4. As a further step, check EVERY household in 1860 Circleville Dist. (and perhaps ultimately the entire county) for a child James aged 2-3 in the 1860 census. Good luck and let us know what you discover.
