Hi all. This may be a really dumb question, but here goes...I am searching for my gr gr grandmother's birth and death records. I have asked Pendleton county courthouse for both and they have no record of them. I have been told she was born and raised in Upper Tract or Smoke Hole. It was suggested to me that maybe she died in Grant at their hospital and her death record my be with them. Does Pendleton not have a hospital? I am from Northern VA and have no idea what is there. How about births? Would their have been hospitals in the 1880s? I apologize for my ignorance on this, but any info would be helpful. Thanks! Kim Fairbanks
