The Heavner Book I referred in my last post states Catherine was the daughter of Gotlieb "Cutlip" Haefner, son of John (Johan) Haefner and Catharina Elizabetha (unknown, wife) of Clearing Springs, MD. Cutlip married Catharine Shafer b. 1867 in MD. This book also states Catharine, dau of Cutlip married George Mumbert and died in 1828. If all this information is correct, and since John Dean's in-laws were Nicholas Heavner and Mary Propts Heavner, The WV Genweb posting of John Dean and Catherine Heavner, first spouse George Mumbert, is in error and needs to be corrected. Sure hope someone can correct this, as another whole family of relatives in WV, I do not need. I feel like I am related to about 75% of all the residents there, now.
