    3. Dear Nedra, Amen. Too many people think if FTM has it down it must be true, likewise with submitted trees to the Mormon records and other places. I fell in the trap of using a question mark which everybody then omitted. So, let me say to anyone who is a descendent of Jacob Snider and Susannah ?. I suggested she might be a Hoover. I started getting trees from people with this stated as fact. The truth of the matter is that with further research I am SURE she was not a HOOVER. If you have written her in without the question mark, please, please, take it out. You can write the question marks and they are ignored. Also, I have more information on Jacob, but I would like to correspond personally rather than on the whole list. Another pet peeve of mine and Nedra how do you feel about this? I get unsolicitated files of families that are not even mine that take time to download and are worthless to me. Would it not be common courtesy to ask if a person wants an entire file sent? This has not been a problem on this list, but on others it gets serious. Also a hint to the wise. Remember 78 rpm records? 8 track tapes? Got any of them? What do you play them on? Nothing in computer land is permanent. Be sure that you have a back up--nothing like pencil and paper. Jean jloudin@rtol,net
