Bill, Crabbottom is the old name for what is now Blue Grass (Highland County) Virginia, right across the southern border of Pendleton County, WV. My GGgrandmother, Phoebe Jane Stone, was married to a Nicholas (her first marriage), then married my GGgrandfather, Isaac Harness Hinkle. Their homeplace was at Crabbottom, and my dad's cousin and her family still live there.
