Glen Huffman of Bridgewater Va did some research for me several years ago that showed Elizabeth Wimer Cooper was the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Thompson Wimer. Henry signed Elizabeth's marriage bond in Pendleton county 11 Sept, 1849. Elizabeth Wimer married Samuel Cooper 20 Sept. 1849, (Pendleton Co. marriage records, p. 51, l. 1) Henry was born ca. 1789 (according to his tombstone), although census record would argue for 1793-94. Henry is buried in the Dolly Cemetery, death dates 17 Dec 1886 according to the TB (Graves Register 1, p. 84 (GR1)) although the death register in Graves register 2, (GR2) p. 65 says DOD is 23 Dec 1887. There was no other will or estate settlement. Glen felt an illegible marker next to his grave was that of Elizabeth, his wife. . ----- Original Message ----- From: rlucas <rlucas@neo.rr.com> To: <WVPENDLE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, 27 February 2000 1:20 Subject: Elizabeth Wimer b. 1831 > I believe someone recently was researching the Wimer family. I have an Elizabeth Wimer b. 1831 d. 1922 who married Samuel Cooper b. 1826 d. 1893. They were the parents of Mahala Cooper who was my great grandmother. I have seen the names Phillip, George and Jacob Wimer (Wymer) in early Pendleton co. Is Elizabeth related to one of them, thanks. > Rebecca Lucas rlucas@neo.rr.com > > HEDRICK SITES DAY FISHER CONRAD WIMER ROHRBAUGH TETER PHARES LOUGH COLLETT >
