In Rick Toothman's Pendleton Co. (West) Virginia Probate Records Book, page 44, John Skidmore's will of 1809 leaves the balance of the Folk place to daughter Nancy. Page 148 of the same book shows that Caty Fulk was paid money out of the Elijah Skidmore estate in 1817. My Fulk/Folk family lived just across the Shenandoah Mtn. from Pendleton Co. My ancestors John & Eve Fulk had a daughter Catherine "Caty" who would have been an adult in 1817. Does anyone know what or where the Folk place was that is in John Skidmore's will? Or know more details about the Elijah Skidmore whose estate paid Caty some money? A David Fulk drew a Revolutionary War penions while living in Pendleton Co. His application says he had 3 children, all of whom had moved out of state. Does anyone know details of David? I haven't been able to connect him with my Fulk family. Thanks.
