Joshua Harmon consents for d. Elizabeth to marry Eli Teter." PLEASE NOTE -Joshua Harmon consents for daughter Elizabeth to marry Eli Teter. Joel was her brother not her father. I am descended from their brother John Dice Harman. >> Got a question... Why would her brother post the bond and not the father...who regularly does. Joshua was alive in 1836..... I am guessing John Harman's mother is Susanna Dice.... Joshua's second wife.. I have Anise Harper as the first wife and Eve Judy as the third wife... Eve is mentioned in Joshua's will: Pendleton County, West Virginia, pg 114 Will Book 4 ent 289-290 5 Mar. 1849 Joshua Harman Weak and sick in body. Wife Eve: Household furniture and livestock she brought here, plus $75 in a year. Son Joel: the money I paid on the land where he lives. Michael Mouse and my daughter Phebe: half the red lick survey on the Allegheny Mountain- "this is toward the Claim she has against me from her grandfather Harper." Sons John, George, Isaac and Eli: all my lands in Pendelton Co., equally divided. Isaac is not able to maintain himself, and his brothers are to have his share and to attend to him. If expenses overrun proceeds, Joel should go in equally and help support Isaac. If Isaac dies soon, the other three are to have his share of the lands and pay their sisters what is considered just by two disinterested men. Sons Joel, John, George and Eli: the other half of the red lick survey, plus lands in Randolph Co. Son Eli: the old gray mare and a heifer. Daughter Catherine: heifer and a young bay mare. Sons: wagon and gear, blacksmith tools. John, George, Eli and Catherine: writing desk. Daughters Elizabeth, Mary, Hellena, Katherine $225 each from my personal estate. If it is not sufficient, Joel, John, George and Eli to make up the difference. Signed: Joshua Harman Witnesses: Soloman Harman, Isaac Harman Proved by witnesses 3 May 1849
