    1. [WVPENDLE] PENDLETON county history by Morton
    2. Sandra E. T. Duncan
    3. Hello Pendleton & Randolph county subscribers I have recently been made County Coordinator for the counties listed below...SEE LINKS BELOW For Pendleton county, I have a 500 page Word Perfect index of the above book that I compiled in 1988 A 20 page index for a book on the Wilmoth name....SEE LINK BELOW another index for a book on the HULL/HOHL/HOLE name from a book on this name My HULL line is mostly in Pendleton county but spilled over into Randolph The reason for telling you this is because I originally had a dream to incorporate all my indexes including Tucker county, Highland county & the Albemarle book by Woods into a single index for my own purposes,so there are few spaces between names Sandra Tyler Duncan VA & WV GenExchange County Coordinator for Albemarle County VA Pendleton County and Randolph Counties WV http://www.genexchange.org/county.cfm?state==va&county=albemarle http://www.genexchange.org/county.cfm?state=va&county=charlottesville http://www,genexchange.org/county.cfm?state==wv&county=pendleton http://www,genexchange.org/county.cfm?state==wv&county=randolph ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ feel free to visit http://www.genexchange.org/us.cfm our project at: http://www.genexchange.org/state.cfm?state=va HELP US KEEP GENEALOGY FREE!!! Adamson born 1847 son of Joseph W. Adamson & Julia Skidmore married MaryRatchfordWaybright as seen on page 173 of Pendleton county book so this long drawn out deal is to say that I am looking for someone to convert these indexes into something more readable for researchers, "I" can read it fine, after all I created it on my Tandy TRS-80 and prayed for the day when I could merge all my indexes....into a single index which might show other books where each name might be contained. I did these indexes before I got on the Internet and thoroughly enjoyed it....Now, of course I have the Internet but no ability to do indexes any longer... And so I am looking for SKS that would convert these for the general researching public. They MUST be placed on a site that does not charge anything for the use of any of these indexes NOTE: The WILMOTH index bizarrely was sent to someone to do that for me just before I had a stroke in 1998, and when I finally got back on the computer 18 months later I was not aware that the online index was faulty and I just got notification that the online index stops with Mary WILMOTH...???? anyway when I went to find it on my computer, it has been hopelessly corrupted....I went ahead and sent my cleaned up version to Sharon with a long explanation but my hope now is to have all the rest done, so last few days have been spent trying to get all of my indexes burned onto CD's I see I am starting to ramble, so I am signing off now

    1. [WVPENDLE] Michael Ketterman and Mary S. Pennington
    2. According to the 1900 West Virginia Census, Randolph County, page 29a, Dry Fork District it lists: Solomon Pennington head M June 1847 age 53, Jane wife F Mar 1850 age 50, Mary S (Ketterman is written in and showing it crossed off) daughter F Feb 1872 age 28 wd, Joshua Pennington son M Jan 1884 age 16, Ruth daughter F Aug 1885 age 14, George son M Oct 1894 age 5, Allen son M Apr 1898 age 2. Mary S Pennington married Michael Ketterman and had several children: Perry Anderson Ketterman, Lucy Ketterman, William Ketterman, and Rosa Ketterman. I have not been able to locate Michael Ketterman on the West Virginia 1900 Census and the children are not with Mary in the census with her father and mother. Can someone help me with this? What state was Michael Ketterman in at the time. I have searched the 1900 Census of West Virginia for him and he is not in West Virginia. Perhaps he and the children are in another state and Mary S. was just visiting? Or Michael Ketterman went by another name? I really need help on this one. Thanks Debbie

    3. George Rexrode, son of Johannes Zacharias Rexrode the pioneer, was a lifelong resident of Augusta/Pendleton County ca. 1760s to 1830s (though possibly born in Pennsylvania). Some researchers have pegged his birth year at 1760, but I have not been able to find anything to substantiate this. Early 1760s is a close as I can get. Does anyone out there know of an original source that gives the birth year of George Rexroad, son of Zach Sr.? Bill Rexroad Hutchinson, Kansas

    2. Frank Cochran
    3. Jeff, According to the will of Nicholas Harper, he had a daughter named Elizabeth (who married Nicholas Harper) and a daughter named Ann Elizabeth (who married Peter Lightner) The Lightners were given land in Bath County, and the Harpers given land in Kentucky. Nicholas Harper's will (as extracted by Rick Toothman) is very detailed as to the husbands of his daughters. What confuses me is that Nicholas lists them in apparent order, i.e. oldest, second, third, etc. This order doesn't seem to coincide very will with ages from various censuses. Any ideas would be appreciated. 3. Hi Becky, I'm sorry, I don't have a family sheet on the Fultz family. I just know that my Harper mar. Susannah Fultz. I haven't researched the name either. Yet. BUT, Rick Toothman, who wrote: "Pendleton County (West) Virginia Probate Records: Wills, Inventories", etc. has a sketch of the Mallo-Voltz families. A friend borrowed my book or I could tell you more about them. I'm sorry. Good luck, Helen

    3. Hello, What can you tell me about the Fultz family? I am trying to find a relationship between Carson Louchery Fultz who married in Little Hocking, Ohio in 1905, and James William Carson Louchery of Marion Co. and Harrison Co. WVa. in the hopes of finding out more about the Louchery family. I know this is a longshot and not even a Pendleton Co. request, but if you have any info on Fultz I would be interested, I am trying to connect this Louchery family to the Loughrys of Tucker Co. WVa. Any ideas, thanks.
