Becky, I am a descendant of both Christian and Adam Hedrick (Andrew Jackson & Rebecca -1st cousins), sons of Fredrick born abt 1766. I have Mary Elizabeth Fisher as his wife, as do quite a few others. Mary Elizabeth Fisher was a daughter of Elizabeth Conrad b. 1746 and George Fisher, Jr. b. abt 1742 Fredrick's parents were Charles Hedrick b 1740 and Barbara Conrad b. 1742 (Elizabeth's sister) . This makes Fredrick & Mary Elizabeth first cousins, not unusual for this time period. Some sources say Mary Elizabeth Fisher is part Indian. I am looking for anyone who would like to discuss this issue. I do not show Elizabeth's brother Jacob as having a daughter named Elizabeth. Is your Elizabeth Conrad one of Jacobs granddaughters? Who do you have as your Elizabeth Conrad's parents? I am related to Christian Hedrick b. 1806 Pendleton Co., another son of Frederick Hedrick. He married on Dec. 7, 1826 in Pendleton Co. to Elizabeth Day. I am told that Elizabeth is mentioned in Morton's history of Pendleton as a daughter of Basil Day and Susannah Lamb Day. I show eleven children for Frederick and Elizabeth Conrad Hedrick. I am also related to Teter and Phares. Christina Phares b. May 10, 1787 (d/o Johnson and Sarah Negley Phares) married Feb. 3, 1807 to Reuben Teter. My problem is that I am related to their daughter Edith Teter/Phares b. 1804 who married Adam Sites. As you can see from what I have found, Edith was born three years before the marriage!! I don't know for sure if she is a Teter, but I guess I can claim the Phares name!! Vivian... be thankful you don't have Orahood, which has also been spotted as Arahut, Arahud, Orchard (no kidding) Arrowood, Arach Arhut Orchar and others...and check this out: Orahood didn't exist before Alexander O in the 1700s...Arahut turns up all the time as an ancestor of Aragorn in Tolkien's Middle Earth and what do Arach and Orchard have in common with Orahood? Hmmmm I used to think the Germans had a problem, but you go try to figure out the Welsh!...Alexander, whatever nationality he was, married a Welsh woman...don't even get me started on her name!!! He would have been born around 1900. He was a cousin to my Grandmother who was a Wimer from Highland. Just curious. Lorie - Pendleton County was formed in 1788. Augusta County was to its south at that time. Bath County was formed in 1791 and then became the county south of Pendleton. I could not find Wolf Draught on any of my old maps of either Highland or Pendleton Counties. Bill Rexroad Hutchinson, Kansas
