I believe that any land that was owned/leased by the Karr/Carr clan in this area was bought/leased from Lord Fairfax. That is the case of Henry and Conrad. Jeff Carr of TX

My gggf Benjamin Wagoner (b. approx. 1824 or 25 Pendleton) is seen in the 1850 Highland census living in the Frederick K. Hull household. What can you tell me about Frederick K. Hull? Do you know the nature of Benjamin Wagoner's relationship with this household? Perhaps a boarder or employee? I've read the Toothman books on Pendleton Co. and Morton's History of Highland Co. and there is no mention of Benjamin Wagoner. There are mentions of what appears to be two Wagoner lines in this area but I've been unable to connect Benjamin with either. I sure would like to discover Benjamin's parents and siblings but seek any info related to him. Thank you. Doug Wagoner Post Falls, Idaho
I am trying to research land that Jacob Carr received by patent May 5, 1794, on the North Fork, 96 acres. On this piece of land a mill was built about 1820-1830. Is it possible that "Mertie" is Martha, born Feb 26, 1885. Martha died Nov 1, 1906. She was a twin to Mary, sister to Nora (1882-1937), Blaine (Apr 1, 1887-Apr 1978), Della (1889-1971), and Nina (1891-1966). Frank Cochran ----- Original Message ----- > . Dear Betty, Wish I could help. My families were Snyder, Pickle, Waybright, Simmons, and Arbogast. Jean
My ancestors, Peter Thomas Hull, d1776 was one of the original settlers. I had the privilege of visiting the cemetery where is buried. I am the 5th great grandaughter of Peter the elder and a descendant of his son George. I am interested in learning more about him and also of my other ggggrandfather John Yeager who also lived in Augusta(Pendleton, Highland) county before moving to Traveller's Repose (now Bartow) in Pocahontas County WV. If anyone has any information about these great grandparents families I would appreciate it. I live in Michigan so have a very limited chance to do on-site research. John Yeager's father was Andrew Yeager who also is listed in Augusta County. John also had a son Andrew who died in 1861 of Camp Fever somewhere in Highland County. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jean Loudin" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, March 19, 2003 11:39 AM Subject: Re: [WVPENDLE] Mill > Bluegrass is the new name for Crabbottom. Bluegrass is the new name for Crabbottom. My ancestors were there too. Northern part of Highland to the west. Used to be part of Pendleton. Jean
Anyone ever heard of Rexroad's Mill in Crabbottom? I have an 1837 land deed describing a tract of land in Crabbottom between Rexroad's Mill and the Meeting House. The land lies on the west side of the Branch and abuts land belonging to Peter Hull. This sounds to me as if it is somewhere west of Blue Grass (now Highland Co.) Would appreciate any info about Rexroad's Mill. Bill Rexroad Hutchinson, Kansas
