Does anyone know how long genforum will be down? What exactly are they doing on that website? Thanks. Becky
It is not often that I do this but I think this should be shared, I just tried it and got some new data on my Wilmoth and Van Scoy data, yes it was free but they also sell "CD's" with the data on it...As always be sure to double check what you find . Forget this. I just answered my own question. Karen
William A. Phares b. 1838 s/o Isaac and Delilah (Hinkle) Phares. He married Martha Ann Mallow c 1857. In 1880 Census Union Twp. Pendleton Co. WV he is age 42 listed with children of Martha but wife is Adelia age 19 b. WV. There is one child Henry age 9/12 who is probably her son. Does anyone know who she is? Thanks Karen in FL
This granddaughter of Harriet Stonebraker McDonald is probably Sarah Susan McDonald who married Allen Webster Graham. She is the daughter of Mary Rebecca McDonald as per Sarah's death certificate. A.W. Graham was the informant on Mary Rebecca's death record and is listed as a son-in-law. The birth date on Sarah's death certificate is 31 Mar 1864, which doesn't match exactly with the census, but is pretty close. Hello List, I have recently "discovered" Kellog Notebooks on West Virginia Families: The Teter Family. Could someone tell me what other families are in the other notebooks? For those interested, I also found a hard copy of "The Henckel genealogy, 1500-1960 ascestry and descendants of Reverend Anthony Jacob Henckel, etc... in the Indiana Genealogical Library in Indianapolis, IN Rosemary Sponaugle Petersen
If there are any left, they are available from the Pendleton County Historical Society. I tried calling Zelene Harman, for she has them in her law office in Franklin for the society. Her number is 304-358-2659. You can go the Pendleton county page in WVaGenWeb to see how much they are, and Zelene's address to send for them. Koren-Fae Rev. Koren-Fae Rawlings 304-358-3261 P.O. Thank you again for the info. Our search continues. That is on my list of things to dig into further at a later time, but I have no reason to doubt it. However, it is not at all unusual for a man in his fifties to have been fathering children back then. George Rexrode, son of Zach Sr. fathered two children (with his second wife) when he was in his sixties. You asked if George and Zach had a sister Christina. I presume you are talking about George and Zach of Zach Sr. the Pioneer. My study of Zach Sr. is not yet complete, but there is nothing in my files presently that shows him having a daughter Christina. Zach Sr. was my 5g-grandfather. His son George was my 4g-grandfather. George also had sons named George and Zach. I don't show them having a sister Christina either. Is this information available on the web or only through the two books mentioned. Did your ggggggrandfather George and his brother Zach have a sister named Christina? Also if J. Zach Rexroth, b. 1725 was son of J. Balthasar Rexerodt, b. 1673 his father would have been 57 at the time of his birth. Not unusual now-a-days but wasn't it unusual in the 1600s? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Rexroad" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, May 20, 2003 11:36 AM Subject: [WVPENDLE] Re: Rexroads > Do I believe that Walter Eye's book is correct regarding the ancestors > of Johannes Zacharias Rexroth?
