Looking for info on William Strite Hedrick b. 10 AUG 1875 Pendleton Co., WV d. 13 JAN 1952 His wife Betty Jane Nelson b. 20 MAY 1879 d. 07 APR 1951 d/o Elijah J. Nelson and Elizabeth Thompson. Strite's mother, Jane Hedrick b. MAY 1847 d. 1916 in Pendleton Co., WV. I'm not sure if Jane is her first name but all legal documents list Jane as her first name. Jane owned a piece of land in Upper Tract/Mill Run area. She owned the water rights to the land. It was located near the Silas McClung Farm. The well on the land, I'm told, is still called "Jane's Well". Jane was a soaper/washwoman in the 1910 Pendleton Co. Census. Also looking for Strite's father, I don't know his name. Jane never married. Hedrick is her maiden name. Any info on Strite, Jane or the identity of Strite's father is greatly appreciated!! ~~Eve
Hi Jane, My Miller family was close with Jacob And Virginia (Jennie) Judy Mallow. In fact Isaac Miller, my 2nd great grandfather sold his home to Virginia's parents in Nov. 1884, before moving his family to Indiana. They did keep in touch over the years, and I have several letter where Virginia wrote to Isaac's daughter Martha. Not sure if this info is of any interest to you , or how you relate to the Mallows. I would like to see a scan of you photos to see if I recognize anyone. Jacob and Virginia later lived in the home of her parents, in Upper Tract, then it became Olin Mallow's home. Dennis Miller
I am a Mallow descendant and may be able to identify. I would like to get scanned pictures to see if I can help you. Dear Ron, what Hardin line do you have? I can't make the dates that you mentioned, but, am interested in you line. Betty
Hello Everyone, Some of you may know me, some of you may not remember me and some of won't care but I would like to inform everyone that I will be heading to Pocahontas, Pendleton, Harrison, Marion Counties of West Virginia around the 20th of July for a McCartney Family Reunion in Fairmont, Harrison County, West Va. on the 26th. I plan on being in Pocahontas County on or about the 21st through the 23rd. Then I will travel north-northwesterly on to Shinnston, Harrison County, WV and staying for at least four or five days or leaving to come back to Alabama sometime around the 29th or 30th. I would like to extend to everyone an invitation to meet with me during my trip who might like to. I will only provide addresses and telephone numbers to those who respond to me by email before the 18th of this month because I don't wish to cause any of my relatives and kinfolk problems by giving out this private information. To the others whom don't know me from shinenola the reason I'm providing this information is that if I possibly can I will attempt to do some genealogical research for anyone who has connections with these people and places. Nothing to heavy because I just need to visit and be blessed by the love of my family for a while. Some of whom I haven't meet and others that I haven't seen but once or twice in my near 55 years. Some of the surnames of intersest are: Thompson, Robertson, Cochran, Rexroad, Crockett and others that I can't remember right now from the Virginia-West Virginia border areas of Pendleton and Pocahontas County. The others are Martin, McCartney, Hardin, Wright, McCune from the north-central portion of the state namely the counties of Harrison, Gilmer, Marion, Taylor, Barbour and Lewis. I look forward to hearing from any of you or all of you. Ron Thompson Andalusia, Alabama [email protected]

They go to Indiana in the early 1800's, as one son of John and Sarah Mccoy died in 1811/12 war, but I'm not sure if their part of this line you mentioned. > Beckie... > Does any part of your McCoy line go to Grant Co, IN???. Charlie McCoy > married Adah Miller--- 1911 in Marion, IN >
No, I'm not. My McCoy line did start around the Doe Hill-Franklin area. (William McCoy b. 1711 in Scotland) Beckie > Beckie, > > Are you one of Bill and Harriet's daughters? > > Koren >
