    3. Hi - I'm working on a history of the Fifteenth WV Infantry (Union) in the American Civil War. They were stationed along the B&O Railroad guarding, particularly guarding bridges, from December 1862 through Mid March 1864. Headquarters were at Sir John's Run. The companies were stationed: Co A - Water Station No. 12; Co B - Alpine Station and also Back Creek Bridge; Co C - Alpine Station; Co D - Great Cacapon; Co F - Belington, WV; Co G - Orleans B & O RR; Co H - Paw Paw; Co I - Paw Paw. Part of the time Co F was at Orleans Station also. I have completed most of the research, including visiting all of the places they were stationed there except Back Creek Bridge. However, I still have many questions. I'm hoping that some of you who are familiar with the area can help me with answers to questions from 140+ years ago. Right now I'm looking for a couple of things. First, does anyone know where Swayne's Crossroads was. I know that it was in some direction for Orleans Station. Second is there anyone out there with old photographs of the places I have mentioned? Thanks for any help anyone can give me on this. I will give acknowledgement in the book when it is completed. Joy P.S. Like most of you, I'm a genealogist too. Check out http://www.hackerscreek.com I'm webmaster there.
