William S. COMBS, aged 65 years, retired railway express messenger of Orleans Cross Roads, W.Va., and formerly of 416 Park Street, this city, died last night at Allegany Hospital where he had been a patient since Monday. He is survived by one brother, Frank D. COMBS, Eastern Avenue, and a sister, Mrs. Pearl L. STEWART, Williams Road. His wife, Hattie C. COMBS, died last October. He was a son of the late John S. COMBS, who was employed by The Evening Times a number of years ago, as a printer. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Parks Funeral Home, Paw Paw. - Cumberland Evening Times, Saturday, 14 January 1933 I've been looking for this obituary for years. I knew it was in 1933, but did not want to just randomly search. I found his death information in the Maryland Archives death certificate index with the date. I finally had the opportunity to go up to Allegany County, and found him. Does anybody know this Pearl STEWART? I thought Pearl's last name was COLEMAN.
