Hello, It has been awhile since I have done my genealogy. I am strating up again and am writing to see if anyone has Christian Miller (b. 1774, Pennsylvania) and Catherine Catlett (b.1795) in their database. I remember Harry Grossman had info. on them and I was trying to prove that my Edward C. Miller was his son. Edward Miller had a younger brother named Andrew Jackson Miller so if you are related through him also, please write!! Thank you. Angel
Hello Angel, I believe we corresponded some years ago regarding our families. My g-great grandmother was Mary Estella Miller who married Harry Hasenbuhler from Cherry Run, WV. I have quite a bit on the Hasenbuhler family, but lack info on the family of Mary Estella Miller. Do these names ring a bell with you? Doris, I am sorry. I have not come across that name, but if and when I do, I will be sure to give you what I find. On another note, do you know if after the courthouse fire in aug.when they moved some paperwork to Ft. Worth, if the paperwork is still there? I live about 25 minutes from there and would like to go see what they have if it is still there! Angel, No, I don't know where the paperwork went, after the fire in the Morgan Co. courthouse. I just wish someone could give me some info on MARY ESTELLA MILLER who m. HARRY HASENBUHLER. Angel and other Miller/Catlett researchers, Just today a new tree has been posted on Rootsweb World Connect. It says that Christian Miller had two wives; Elizabeth Catlett b. ca 1780 in Frederick (Co?) VA. There were five children: Catherine (Kitty) Miller; William b. ca 1805; Christian, Jr. b. ca 1810 and Lewis b. 21 Dec 1818. His second wife was Catherine Catlett b. ca 1795. They had children: Edward; b. 1821, Elizabeth b. Aug 1824; Jackson b. ca 1827; Elisha b. ca 1832; Richard S. b. ca 1834; Mary Ellen b. ca 1836, Rachel Cecelia b. ca 1838 and Ann b. ca 1839. This site also says that Christian Miller was the son of Christian Miller b. 1744 in Zweibrucken, Germany and Catherine Wiseman b. ca 1746 in VA. The tree is titled "Shirley's Data Base" and can be found using the search terms with Christian Miller and Catlett for a spouse. I plan to contact the submitter and find out where her information comes from. Joy
