He was also born in Paw Paw, WV. Their parents are William Edwards and Martha Platt. Martha was born in Londonderry, Ireland in 1848 and William was born in Va in 1825. This was William's second marriage. Martha was about 17 when they married. They got married in Allegany Co., MD which is across the border from Paw Paw, Morgan Co., WV.
