I have done quite a bit of research on Merchant and am happy to share. 1. Sarah FLETCHER, wid. of William, in Paw Paw ca. 1905-1915? Did she die there?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: FLETCHER KIRK Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/FEC.2ACE/996 Message Board Post: I'm trying to find a death/burial/cemetery record for Sarah (Smith) FLETCHER, widow of William FLETCHER, who died ca. 1915. Husband William Fletcher died in 1899 in Hardy Co., WVA, and is buried at Rock Oak Cemetery near the line with Hampshire Co. I don't have a burial listing for the cemetery, so I'm lacking death information for his wife Sarah Smith Fletcher. Sarah was last "spotted" in the 1910 census for Morgan Co., Paw Paw. She and grandson Floyd Fletcher were working for Drs. James and Raymond KIRK of Paw Paw; Sarah was 76, and Floyd, 8. She's nowhere to be found in 1920, and is presumed to have died before 1917 (at which time WVA death certificates for Morgan Co. become searchable--no Sarah there). Sarah had some Fletcher family in the Paw Paw/ Cacapon Dist. area, which might explain her placement as a housekeeper for the Kirk brothers (James Kirk was a widower with children). My hope is that there's an obituary for her out there somewhere, or a citable death record. She's likely to be buried with her husband William Fletcher down in Hardy Co. Sarah was a native of Bedford Co., PA, and with husband William raised 15 children, 13 of whom were living in 1910, some in the Hardy/ Hampshire/ Morgan area. David Fletcher Richmond, VA

    2. Doris Goldsborough
    3. My g-grandparents were Louis (b.1838) and Mary Estella (MILLER) HASENBUHLER. They had a store in Morgan Co. (near Snyder Church) many years ago. From my copy of the Fall 2005 news from the Morgan County Historical and Genealogical Society, there is an article re the UNGER STORE. Could this have been the store that the HASENBUHLERS owned at a time prior to the ownership of the UNGERs? Some years ago I was in Morgan Co. and was told the store had burned down but the steps still remained. My grandfather was HARRY HASENBUHLER. Any info regarding this store or anything pertaining to the HASENBUHLER family or MILLER family would be appreciated. Doris Goldsborough
