I am a descendant of their daughter Anna/Annie E. Gant, b May 1876, m James Lewis Miller 23 Jun 1892. I had been leaning in the direction that Charlotte was indeed the daughter of Benjamin and Nancy, but I had not gotten very far. It has been quite some time since I have been on the message boards so I just now saw your message. Thanks! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. It is possible that they lived near Hampshire County I suppose.

Marion was employed as a cooper for the railroad and farmed in later life. He was buried at Greenlawn Cemetery in Clarksburg. Marion's wife, Clara Jackson, was a daughter of David and Salavania (May) Jackson. Clara was born June 27, 1880 and died Oct. 21, 1966 at Seton Home in Clarksburg. You might want to check with funeral home O. T. Davis in Clarksburg, WV, who handled his burial. Also, he was buried in a Masonic cemetery, which suggests further records if he was a Mason.

Jacob Kesecker age 50 - widower - son of John and Ann Kesecker married Elizabeth Allen of Morgan Co. - age 50 - widow - dau. of Issac & Elizabeth ---------.
John, In the 1870 Morgan Co. WV Census, Sleepy Creek Dist. book, the following is listed: John Kesecker 54 Farmer Phebe A. 49 Jacob 22 John E. 19 Albert J. 7 All are listed as VA born John Kesecker married Phebe Ann Courtney March 29, 1839 with Christian Courtney being Phebe Ann's bondsman. The 1850 Morgan Co. VA Census has this family listed with Jacob being 1 year. I believe this is your Jacob but John's wife is not named Sarah. There is a Sarah Kesecker living two doors away from John. This Sarah is listed as 63 - born in New Jersey and living with her is George Kesecker, age 24 born in VA (possible a son?). John Kesecker 32 Farmer Ann 26 Sarah 7 Mary 5 Jacob 1
