The parents of Henry C. and Belle are not listed. There was only one family of Hoiles living in Morgan Co. beginning 1850 thru 1870 and that was Samuel Hoile who was listed in the 1850 Morgan Co. WV Census, Samuel Hoile is the only Hoile listed and his family is listed as living in the Timber Ridge area as follows: Samuel Hoile--------48-----Cooper--------VA born Nancy Jane Hoile---48 Rachel Hoile----------25 Eliza Hoile------------16 (All the above listed as VA born) WV marriages for Hoil/Hoile/Hoyle in Morgan Co. The Index of Morgan Co. (West) Virginia Marriage Records 1820-1865 lists Samuel Hoile for page 2. Page two lists marriages for 9/8/1821 thru 3/22/1823 - SAMUEL HOYLE'S MARRIAGE WAS OMITTED. IT IS NOT LISTED ON PAGE 1-2-OR 3. 2/11/1836 - Hiram Nessmith to Nancy Hoyle - Elijah Nesmith is listed as Nancy's Bondsman 2/19/2837 - Andrew Hoyle to Elizabeth Dawson - Thomas Dawson is listed as Elizabeth's Bondsman 3/14/1842 - Andrew Hoyle to Elizabeth Eaton - Isaac Bohrer, Jr. was Elizabeth's Bondsman. 8/26/1861 - Alcey Hoil to Samuel W. William S. COMBS, aged 65 years, retired railway express messenger of Orleans Cross Roads, W.Va., and formerly of 416 Park Street, this city, died last night at Allegany Hospital where he had been a patient since Monday. He is survived by one brother, Frank D. COMBS, Eastern Avenue, and a sister, Mrs. Pearl L. STEWART, Williams Road. His wife, Hattie C. COMBS, died last October. He was a son of the late John S. COMBS, who was employed by The Evening Times a number of years ago, as a printer.
