Jack, My 4th great grandfather was Isaac NICKELL (s/o John NICKELL and Unknown LEWIS) m. Margaret CURRY in 1775 in Augusta County, VA. Isaac was a spy in the RW--for our side!! My 3rd great grandparents were John NICKELL IV and Ann CURRY. Their daughter, Elizabeth NICKELL m. Daniel J. EARLY are my 2nd great grandparents; My great grandparents were Rebecca Jane EARLY m. Lt. William Preston YOUNG, CSA; Their son, my grandfather, was William Branch YOUNG, MD m. Mabel Russell BECKNER. > William Nelson Nickell would be my wife's 2nd cousin - 3 times removed.
