His parents were Isaac Gore (1805-1886) and Ida Woodrum ( 1806-1874) Their children were John Alexander, Augustus Washington, Minerva R., Granger Harmon. John Alexander Gore (19 Feb 1856, Pride (Speedway), Virginia; d. 23 Jan 1939, Cabell County, WVA) farmer and Methodist. He married Sarah Louisa Rachel Martin (19 Feb 1856, Mercer County, WVA; d. 26 Dec 1915, Alamogordo, NM) on 29 Oct 1877 in Mercer County, WVA) Her parents were David Martin (1804-1888) and Hester Ann Shumate (1817-1886). There childern were Ella Leah, Silas Sheldon, Elmer Claire, Arthur Vane, Nannie Hester, Hattie May.
