John Caperton and Mary Thompson (Need to go to old program on this) Hugh Caperton (Need to go to old program on this) Hugh Caperton (b. 1751, Augusta County, Virginia; d. 18 August, 1816, Monroe County, Virginia) married Rhoda Strodghill (b. 1765/1770, Orange County, Virginia, d 1824/1846, Giles County, Virginia) on 21 Sept 1785, Greenbrier County, Virginia. Children: Augustus William James. (I know that there is more, but will have to go back to the old program and find. Have not inputted that information yet Augustus William James Caperton (b. 29 Oct 1802, Monroe County, Virginia; d. 22 Apr 1878, Mercer County, West Virginia) married Rachel Wiley (b. 19 Mar 1816, Giles County, Virginia; d. 3 May 1883, Plymouth District, West Virginia) on 7 Nov 1833, Virginia. (Her parents were James Wiley (1780-1857) and Ann Swinney (1779-1863) Sarepta Rosetta Caperton (29 Oct 1834, Pride (Speedway), Virginia; d. 7 Feb 1919, Russell, Ky) married Henderson French Gore (b. 29 Dec 1833, Island Creek, Giles County, Virginia; d. 30 October 1913, Pride (Speedway), WVA) on 25 Jan 1854, Mercer County, VA. His parents were Isaac Gore (1805-1886) and Ida Woodrum ( 1806-1874) Their children were John Alexander, Augustus Washington, Minerva R., Granger Harmon. John Alexander Gore (19 Feb 1856, Pride (Speedway), Virginia; d. 23 Jan 1939, Cabell County, WVA) farmer and Methodist. He married Sarah Louisa Rachel Martin (19 Feb 1856, Mercer County, WVA; d. 26 Dec 1915, Alamogordo, NM) on 29 Oct 1877 in Mercer County, WVA) Her parents were David Martin (1804-1888) and Hester Ann Shumate (1817-1886). There childern were Ella Leah, Silas Sheldon, Elmer Claire, Arthur Vane, Nannie Hester, Hattie May.
