John and Allie married 1 Nov 1855,, she age 30, and he age about 52. This was the 2nd marriage for John Bowyer, His 1st wife Anne June Blythe Murdock who died of TB on 5 Feb 1855. In 1850 the Monroe Co Census shows that Mary Vance is age 72, and daughter, Precilla, age 24. John Vance was perhaps deceased by this time. I believe Mary lived into the 1860's, dying in Monroe Co.
