I am seeking ancestral and descendant information, census data, personal data, etc. on the families of William MULLINS and Patrick H. SPANGLER, both of whom lived in Monroe Co. during the 1880s and 1890s. William Mullins/Mullens (bc 1827; dc 1902) apparently lived with his family in Mercer Co., WV during the 1860 and 1870 Censuses, possibly in Wyoming or Logan Co.'s during the 1880 census and then in Monroe Co. shortly thereafter. His family included wife Abigail (bc 1828), Lorissa ("Rissa") J. (bc 1848), James B. (bc 1849), Elizabeth L. (bc 1851), William F. (bc 1854), Robert M. (bc 1855; dc 1925, Monroe Co.), Mary A. (bc 1857) and Martha E. (bc 1858). We are related to him through his granddaughter Nettie-Ann Virginia Mullens (bc 1888 in Monroe Co., WV; my great-grandmother) to "one of" William's daughters and a young Spangler man (Fletcher Spangler?). Apparently William's daughter died shortly after Nettie's birth and she was raised by her Aunt Lorissa ("Rissa") from the early 1890s-on. As for Patrick H. SPANGLER, he was apparently born c 1825 (possibly in Monroe Co.) and presumably lived most, if not all of his life there. He married a woman by the name of Pelina J. (maiden surname unknown) during the early late 1840s/early1850s and they had several children including: Mary C. (bc 1850), Emma E. (bc 1852), Josephus D. (bc 1854), Fletcher G. (bc 1857; my direct ancestor), Henry C. (bc 1860), Rosa B. (bc 1867) and Hugh B. (bc 1872). Patrick "may" have been the son of George Spangler (bc 1793), but this has not yet been confirmed as of yet. As a sidenote, it is suspected that Fletcher SPANGLER and one of William Mullins' daughters (Lorissa? Mary? Martha?) were "supposedly" the parents of Nettie-Ann Mullins (bc 1888, Monroe Co.). As previously indicated, Nettie was apparently raised by her "Aunt" Lorissa Mullins and so it is presumed that her parents (a Spangler and a Mullins) never married, for whatever reason. In any event, ANY ancestral, family or descendant information on William Mullins, son Robert M. Mullins, any of William's daughters, Patrick Spangler or son, Fletcher G. Spangler (who moved to the Ada area of Mercer Co., WV c 1890) would be very much appreciated. Thanks very much, Bob
