I recently found the following book.Lowry's,Bryan's and Chapmans Batteries of Virginia Artillery. Under Bryans Battery is the unit roster and it shows the following. James L.Crosier,enlisted 21 Sept.1863,Killed in action at the Battle of New River 10 May 1864.Farmer from Monroe County. The big question.
