Hi Everyone, I am trying to locate information/descendents of Zadock Canterbury, born c 1797, son of John and Nancy Lowe Canterbury. Information that I have indicates that Zadock married Marcina Snow about 1840 and moved from Monroe County to Roane County where he died November 15, 1886. The 1860 Roane County census indicates that Zadock and Marcina had 7 children with at least 3 born prior to the marriage date of 1840. I am questioning this marriage date. Also believe that Zadock had a son named Zadock who married Mariah Jane Campbell January 10, 1848. The 1870 West Virginia Index indicates that there was a Z. Canterbury, age 69, male, white, living in Walton Township, Roane County, WV. There is also a Zadock Canterbury, age 45, male, white living in Forest Hill Township, Monroe County WV. I believe that Zadock was the son of Z Canterbury. Are there any researchers/descendents of Zadock Sr. or Jr. on this list. If so, I would be most interested in talking to you. Thanks, Cathy
