"Polly" Roach's parents being Reuben Riley Roach (s/o David Roach?) and Sarah "Sallie" Ball (d/o Micajah Ball).It has been suggested that James' parents were Elijah Roach (s/o Jonathan Roach) and Hannah Keatley (d/o Francis Keatley). I got the following info from the 1850 Monroe Co. Census, Monroe Co. Births 1850-1860, Monroe Co. Marriages 1799-1850, Monroe Co. Marriages 1851-1900. Wyoming Co. Marriages 1800-1900, Summers Co. Marriages 1851-1900 and Braxton Co. Marriages, pg 251. Children of James & Mary J. Roach: 1) William A. Roach b.~1838 Monroe Co. m. Mary Catherine McKinney in Wyoming Co. on 14 Nov 1860 2) Andrew J. Roach b.~1841 Monroe Co. 3) James A. Roach b.~1842 Monroe Co. 4) Campbell Roach b.~1844 Monroe Co. 5) Lewis F. Roach b.~1846 Monroe Co. 6) Reuben Riley Roach b.~1848 Monroe Co. m. Flora E. Wikle in Summers Co.on 25 Mar 1872 7) George Washington Roach b.20 Sep 1856 Monroe Co. m. Ruhama Keener in Braxton Co. on 04 May 1882 d. 1923 Braxton Co. I'm sure there were more children between #6 & #7 and hopefully there was a daughter or 2.... I just haven't found them.... George W. was my great-grandfather. Hope this helps.....
