The marriage of William PACK in Patrick County, Va. bk. 3, pg. 27, Ln 14 William PACK, age 33 from Va., s/o J & N PACK md Jane Sutherland, age 18, from Va., d/o L & F Sutherland. William PACK and Jane are in the 1860 census with son Ballard By 1880 William PACK and family had moved to Wythe County, Va as indicated below in the Wythe County 1880 census, and reflects two of the sons with marriage dates. pg. 46 Ln 430 Speedwell District William Pack age 40 (wrong? does not reflect his marriage age) Jane 38 Ballard P son 21 md Cora J Hicks 18, of Wythe County in Allegheny Co. NC d/o Alford & Mary Hick 25 Jan 1896 Jefferson D. son 19 Margaret A daug 17 Mary J daug 15 James son 13 William H.(?) son 11 Nancy V. daug 9 Laura S. daug 6 Anderson P son 3 George B(?) son 1 md Betty Cavey 19, of Pulaski County, Va in Allegheny County, NC, 4 Apr 1900 William PACK is also mention in the book, Wythe County Chapters, by James S. Pregraves. William PACK was mention in a write up as to "Crockett's Chapel M. E. South, Cripple Creek, Va." Prior to 1888, the local church services was being held in the PACK School House. William PACK, was mention as a fellow in the church. As the congregation grew, a new church was needed. So, in 1888 the land was granted and William Pack was a made a trustee member. And later the church was dedicated Crockett's Chapel. Also, mention was the local post office as Beverly Post Office, Beverly Mill, and Beverly Furnace. I would think if this church had a local graveyard, William PACK & Jane might would have been buried here.(?) A possible brother to William PACK, a Greenville PACK was a resident of Patrick County, Va. In a 1863 Tazewell County marriage, he states his parents as J & N PACK also.
