The last e-mail was incorrect. Alderson WV straddles the Greenbrier River which is the boundary between Monroe and Greenbrier Counties. Muddy Creek empties into the Greenbrier. I am a direct descendant of John Alderson and was born in Alderson. He founded the town in 1777. Karl Mann
