Maxine, Do you have any indication that Elihu Ellis is related to the Monroe Co. Ellis family? I am familiar with the marriage of Elizabeth and Elihu, but have been unable to determine her parentage either. There was a Mary Alderson (b. 1813) who married Andrew Ellis in Monroe Co. in 1834. Perhaps if there is indeed an Ellis connection it would help identify the Alderson line she is from.
