Hi Robert, Thanks for the response. I don't know too much about Cook genealogy, but I know a little about the Cook history. There was a Cook's Fort in the earliest history of Greenbrier -- protection for the settlers during the Indian War era roughly 1755-1763. Cooks Run is in present Monroe Co. and runs into Indian Creek near Greenville. The Miller, Mann, Humphreys and others lived here quite early on. Rev. Cook (I believe) was minister of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. Many of my wife's Humphreys, Miller, Mann, and Ballard ancestors worshipped there. Here is a link to mapquest.com - specifically, a map of the Cook's Run/Indian Creek area. http://www.mapquest.com/cgi-bin/ia_find?link=btwn/twn-map_results&event=find_select&search=Greenville,+WV,+US&uid=u0b60ddjr8i2k5ie:rsu01gd0y&lat=375433&lng=-806828&country=US&level=6&style=2&width=440&height=280 Maybe some other more COOK knowledgeable folk will see this post at the Monroe-L and help us both.
