Dorothy, I'm not from the Helms/Helems line. I 'm doing research on Mary Gray Helms and her family. My husband is down from James Gray and Mary Harrison. Mary Helms is a sister to his gggrandmother, Mahala Gray Crawford. I'm working with two ladies that are descended from John Helms and Rebecca Drummond. They told me that Joseph gambled away most of Mary Helms inheritance and moved to Allegheny County where he died in the poor house. I haven't been checking on him. Sorry. Sue Craig County
