To Cousin Bob Zingo, The 1850 Census of Monroe Co. lists: #601 - #613 Henry Holsapple 55 m farmer $495 Nancy 45 f Samuel 16 m laborer Jerry 25 m Elizabeth 22 f Shara A. 21 f Calvin 19 m Isabel 17 f John W. 15 m Philip 13 m Margaret 10 f Rebecca 8 f Virginia 6 f Lewis 4 m #521 #532 Robert Young 52 m farmer $1100 Margaret 52 f Henry J. 20 m Laborer Amanda S. 19 f William D. 16 m Nancy 14 f Christopher 14 m Mary L. 10 f Unfortunately, Moses Moss was not to be found, may have lived in Peterstown area which I did not transcribe. The above Mary L. Young was my great grandmother who married Henry H. Bostick, son of David Bostick who came from Ireland in 1830. The above Nancy Hoke was a sister to William Hoke who married Barbara Soffer, daughter of John Soffer, in 1815. Barbara had previously been married to Henry Daugherty who d. at Norfolk in 1813 during the War of 1812. Henry and Barbara had 2 children, Alexander b. 1808 and Leticia who was b. 1812 and married David Bostick (above mentioned). This William Hoke was the son of Henry Hoak who came from PA in the 1780s. Both William Hoke and Barbara Soffer Daugherty Hoke were born in 1784. Hope this will be helpful to you. I have a pretty comprehensive genealogy on the Hoke/Hoak family, but it is not in the computer at this time. I hope to get a copy of what you are putting together to check against my own information.
