Instead of buying the book by Oren Morton, go to your local library and have them order it via interlibrary loan. I did that several months ago at my local library in Thousand Oaks, CA. The special request cost me 50 cents. They ordered it from a library in Sacramento, CA, and I received it in about 2 weeks. I had the use of it for an entire month, then it was returned. Interlibrary loan has saved me a lot of money, not just on Morton's book about Monroe County, but on a lot of other books I've needed for my genealogy research.
