    3. Here I am brand new to the list, launched my YOUNG query and now my second email is about COMPTONs! My grandmother was Susan Victoria Compton, d/o Colbert Compton & Mary Jane Alley. Colbert was s/o William F. (Fuller?) Compton and Mary Polly Sword. I have been stuck at William Compton for about 15 years. No one has been able to nail him down as to where he came from when he settled in Pike Co., KY. I do know he was called Billy and that he was said to have made trips back "to VA." Although I don't have a birth year, he married on March 30, 1851 so I would guess he was born about 1830. Any help much appreciated. I will share what I have. Thanks! 3. I wish to compare notes and exchange info with any YOUNG researchers on list. Chalkley has some references to William Young who migrated to Monroe Co. and died in 1807 leaving an infant son Isaac. His estate was settled by his brother Thomas Young. There was a law suit Young vs Ochiltree (sic?) concerning this Isaac. I would be grateful for any YOUNG info and have a lot to exchange that goes back many generations. Is there such a thing as a "marriage book" for early Monroe that someone could do a look up for me? For Thomas Young to anyone. Or any other resources that anyone can check for Thomas for me? I collect ALL Young info for VA, WV, TN, NC, SC and KY. Thanks!
