At Green Hill Cemetery there is a Mary Jane Erskine, b. 23 Mar 1841, d. 6 Sep 1914. There are several other Erskines there, as well: Margaret, Margaret Benson, Michael (2), Oma E., Ray H., and William. Hope this helps a little.
dsp means died without issue. Sandra
Hi all! Someone sent me a descendency chart from WFT Volume 7, Tree 3890 (9 pages and 9 generations in length). The chart is the Descendents of Henry Erskine. But I know I've seen some of these other names come thru on the mail list. I see that a Michael Erskine, Jr. married Margaret Handley Paulee (after her return from the Indians). And I see a Jane Erskine who married a Hugh Caperton. There are children listed born to both these families and some descendents of the children too. I have two questions: First, what would dsp after a listing of the birth and death dates mean? There a couple names with this listed after the dates. Second, does anyone know anything about the Alexander in this line: Michael Erskine Jr. and Margaret Handley Paulee had a child named William. William married Margaret Benson. One of their children's name is Alexander Erskine. (He is one of the ones with a dsp after his dates.) Does anyone know anything about this Alexander Erskine -- like who he married, children, etc.? Any help appreciated. If anyone is interested I can attach this Henry Erskine descendent chart to an email, so everyone can see the Capertons that are in it..... ----Celia :o)
Joanne, Thanks for sending all that over to me and the others. I appreciate that. It's great to be able to add another line. What I have on the Lively's came from a distant cousin, Ted Pack, who is a descendant of Loammi Pack & Jane Lively. His source was Dr. Vallentine's book "Livelys of America 1690 - 1968." Carol
I don't know why I feel the need to add these families that are not mine, but is this the line you are talking about?
