    3. Hello. I am looking for information about EMILY BUTCHER (LAWSON) (SMITH) 2 Jan 1813 - 30 Mar 1902. August 29, 1833 she married John Lawson (b.1807 He died 9 Mar 1844 near Tug River, killed by a falling tree). She was married to George Smith by 1850 according to the census. Q uestions: She is reportedly buried by the side of her first husband, John Lawson, in Williamson, WV which leads me to believe that she may have been living in Williamson at the time of her death. Does anyone have any information as to where I could locate an obituary for her? Are WV death certificates available for as early as 1902? I am descendent of hers through Melvin Lawson, one of her children with John Lawson. We have very little information about her after John Lawson died. We do know that she married George Smith and had two more children, but that was in the 1850s. George Smith was not on the 1860 census, so I presume he had died. She lived until 1902. For part of that time - according to the census, she lived with her son Melvin, but Melvin died in 1884. What happened to her then? What happened to the children (America Victoria, b. 1851; Allen, b. 1852) she had with George Smith? Thanks for any help. Darlene
